Since Shaye's first scheduled game got cancelled due to rain last weekend, this Saturday was the first time they played. Shaye did a great job! We were really proud of her. She really went after the ball and took it to the goal several times. We are excited to watch her improve this year. We started the game out hot and sweaty like this:

It was quite an adventure, but it was fun. And Shaye actually thought it was "cool" to play in the rain! Luckily I was able to keep Sydnee dry under the big umbrella.

You gotta love those red faces. And what is a soccer game if you don't get nice and dirty, so the rain sure helps with that. It rains here a lot right now but it actually helps with the heat so it is actually nice.
