Memorial Weekend

The weather was plenty hot for Memorial Day weekend. With the move to Houston coming up, we knew Sam was going to need a new truck. He found one in Plano, and on Saturday we headed down to pick it up. We decided to make a trip out of it. We stayed at the Renaissance Hotel in Dallas, and had a fun short over-nighter. Shaye and Sydnee played in the sprinklers outside the hotel,(well, Shaye played and Sydnee wandered around) and Paige dozed in the shade! The next day, we stopped by the outlet stores for a few things, and then took the kids to eat at a restaurant called The Magic Time Machine. Our waiter was Captain Jack Sparrow. He was a really good one too - talked like him and everything. It was fun!

On Monday, after doing the yard work and stuff around the house, we headed down to the neighborhood pool. The water was refreshing on such a hot day!

Your kids are seriously so stinking cute! That little Sydnee looks like a little cherub! Love it!

That looks like a great trip! I can't believe how much Sydnee looks like Shaye.
Oh and there are some mountains a couple hours south of here so it wasn't too hot to camp at all. And it's dry out here in West Texas so you don't have to deal with horrible humidity. But yeah I did not enjoy camping in Oklahoma... way too hot.
