Snow Day!

Finally we got some fun snow! All we have had so far this winter is ice and sleet. The kids played outside for quite a while after school let out early.

It was great snow for a snowman, but unfortunately this was the best I could do! You would think somebody who has lived in Idaho and Utah could put together a decent snowman! But the kids thought it was great.

I know I shouldn't have, but in Jaxson's agony I had to take a picture. He had been out playing and his boot fell off. He didn't have on any socks and, of course, stood in the backyard crying instead of coming in the house. I had to run out and carry him in! Poor guy! But he was a trooper and went right back out.

Girl Power!

Well, we found out on Tuesday, we are having a girl! Originally, I was hoping for a boy just so he could be close in age to Jaxson and they could share a room and so forth... but we are just as excited this way too! Shaye went with us to the ultrasound and was hoping for a sister, so she got her wish. When we came home and told Jaxson we were having a girl he said, "I'm having a boy!" Still, three days later, he will tell you "mommy is having a girl, and I am having a boy!" Last night at dinner, he explained to me that "sometimes he just doesn't like girls." :-)
Now the daunting task of choosing a name!

Big Helper

Sam was working around the house today, hanging a mirror and some pictures. So of course Jaxson got out his tools and became the helper! He always likes to do whatever Sam is doing, in the house or in the yard.

Shaye has been dancing and singing along to High School Musical for months. When Jaxson was finished helping, he joined her!
