Jaxson's 7th Birthday

My Jaxy turned 7 on Feb. 3rd.  Since he had a big bowling party last year, he decided a family party was okay for this year.  We surprised him with a family dinner at the Texans Grille.  He is a big Texans fan, and plays on the Texans youth team, we thought it was perfect!  He had a great time, but started out a little shy.  He doesn't like all the attention of being the birthday boy in this setting - like his mom!

The nice thing about living in Texas is being close to family.  It makes it possible for us to get together easily for occasions like this.  In the past, the kids didn't have any family at their parties, now everyone can make it.

As always, Jaxson got some wonderful gifts from everyone.  This year he wanted a bike, so we got him that and a baseball bat.  He always got a 6 foot wall decal of his favorite football player, Mario Williams, new shoes, a fishing poster, a new DS game, a NERF gun, gift card, and about 60 dollars which he is already itching to spend!

Some of the things I want to remember about Jaxson at this age are:

- He still loves to be wherever his dad is.
- When he comes home from school, he runs off the bus and will spend the rest of the day playing in the yard if the neighborhood boys are out.
- He always ask us to read scriptures before bed.  We love his reminders.
- He loves to play with his sisters.  Yes, they fight, but he enjoys making Paige happy or showing Sydnee what to do, or playing outside with Shaye.
- He continues to be sensitive.  He has a big heart and his big emotions overwhelm him sometime.  I hope he stays that way.

Wow how time flies! I am jealous that you have that family around and I know it was probably really hard when you lived in Oklahoma! Glad he had such a fun birthday!
